Spice Up Your Thursdays: Salsa Nights at Café Whitney

Fall is heating up in downtown Reno — and Café Whitney is turning up the rhythm with Salsa Night, presented in partnership with Tiempo Latino Dance Company.

Join us on select Thursdays this October and November (October 16 & 30, November 6 & 13) for an evening of great music, vibrant energy, and dancing that’s as fun to watch as it is to join.

From 6–10 PM, the café transforms into a lively dance floor, with music by DJ Gerzon Chavez spinning the best Latin hits to keep your feet moving and spirits high. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just looking for a new way to unwind, you’ll find yourself swept up in the rhythm of the night.

Never danced salsa before? No problem! Tiempo Latino Dance Company kicks things off with a free beginner-friendly dance lesson at 6:30 PM. Learn the steps, meet new people, and discover why salsa has become one of the most joyful, community-driven dance styles around.
